Chicago Style Dogs
This week, I'm stepping away from my usual fiction pieces to spread some joy through heartwarming profiles of incredible dogs I've had the pleasure of interviewing around Chicago!
Fall is here, and Chicago is a great place for a walk. The city's dogs have stories to share, too! As spooky season approaches, let's explore what they fear, what they've achieved, and what makes their tails wag.
Winston
Greatest Achievement: Counter surfing — jumping on the counter to steal food!
Biggest Fear: Winston gets scared when other dogs bark.
Highlight of the Day: Winston got some ice cubes as a treat which he loves.
Archie
Greatest Achievement: Archie ate a whole chocolate cake in 30 seconds! (This scared his parents a lot)
Biggest Fear: Archie hates it when his parents leave the house.
Highlight of the Day: Archie loves snuggling on the couch.
Nala
Greatest Achievement: She's a pro at catching flies.
Biggest Fear: Nala doesn't like the flames from the grill.
Highlight of the day: Nala went on a long walk and loved it.
Teddy
Greatest Achievement: Whenever he can walk past another dog without losing his mind.
Biggest Fear: Teddy is scared of the noisy L train.
Highlight of the Day: Teddy enjoyed the sunny weather.
Bucky
Greatest Achievement: He makes people smile and is great at photoshoots.
Biggest Fear: Bucky worries about missing a meal.
Highlight of the Day: Bucky enjoyed being interviewed — he loves hanging out with people!

Teddy
Greatest Achievement: Being a loving pup.
Biggest Fear: He gets worried about being left alone.
Highlight of the Day: Teddy loved watching the Chicago marathon!
Jasper
Greatest Achievement: Being the best dog ever!
Hidden Superpower: Jasper is deaf, which means he can hang out in Chicago’s silliest bars!
Biggest Fear: Jasper is scared of shadows but he'll chase them down!
Highlight of the Day: Jasper was excited for “B Movie Bingo” at The Native in Logan Square.

Roscoe
Greatest Achievement: Roscoe once went on a cross-country road trip.
Biggest Fear: Roscoe is most scared of being hungry — always excited for more food!
Highlight of the Day: Roscoe was able to play with some new friends on the walk.
Stella
Greatest Achievement: She ate most of a pot of beef stew when no one was looking.
Biggest Fear: Stella isn't scared of anything! She’s fearless!
Highlight of the Day: Stella had fun at the dog park and guarded the house from lots of packages.
Atlas
Greatest Achievement: Swimming! This used to be hard for him, but recently he’s been getting into it!
Biggest Fear: Atlas is not a fan of string instruments or street music.
Highlight of the Day: Atlas loved the cold weather.
